Overview

GA & MOE Event Inspector is a developer debugging tool. It intercepts and displays analytics events (GTM dataLayer, GA4/gtag, MoEngage) on pages you choose to inspect. All processing happens locally in your browser.

Data we access

When you enable the inspector, probe mode, or open the DevTools/side panel/dock UI, the extension may locally process:

• Analytics event payloads fired by the page
• DOM elements you hover or click (for event prediction and probe capture)
• The URL of the page being inspected
• UI preferences (filters, pause state, probe mode) stored in chrome.storage

Analytics payloads may contain personally identifiable information if the website sends such data to its analytics vendors. The extension displays this only to you for debugging.

Data we do not collect

We do not:

• Operate backend servers that receive your browsing data
• Sell, rent, or transfer your data to third parties
• Collect passwords, health, or payment information
• Log keystrokes outside of explicit click/hover interactions in probe/inspector mode
• Maintain a history of pages you visit outside active debugging sessions

Network requests

The extension may fetch public Google Tag Manager container scripts (gtm.js) from googletagmanager.com to parse trigger rules for hover predictions. These requests do not include your personal data and the fetched content is not executed as code.
